Zola Jesus performed last night in MIA. I remember reading about it at the venue page some time ago and getting utterly excited about seeing her live. The only material I had in my Itunes was the Conatus Lp ( which i strongly recomend ) and I really enjoyed the music and the lyrics.
It was pouring outside and i had so many expectatives about it. When the band was ready there she was, wearing a dress and some sort of wedge shoes she really hated the entire time. She was a handfull, going around the stage up and down, dancing crazy in the dark. Because one thing was certain, she sang 2 hours in complete darkness.
The only thing keeping her from total obscurity was a blue cube in the floor.
Her voice was flawless, her musicians were too.
I felt blessed to be so close to her, seeing her right in front of me and of course, I died after Vessel. One of my favorite tune.
